This card consisted of a four-team tournament with the final being the best of five falls (participants: Bob Ellis & Alberto Torres, Bearcat Wright & The Medic, Dory Funk, Jr. & The Lawman, The Alaskan & Magnificent Maurice).

The winners of the tournament were to advance to meet Harley Race & Larry Hennig for the (AWA) World Tag Team Title on June 30. That title match did not happen, however.
